I think I will join, my game will fill the online genre and hopefully spur others into making their games online.

P.S. Can a game be entered in the contest if it has two people developing it?

I think that team development should be encouraged, as it's a necessary step in progressing to bigger games.

Can't wait to see what games this contest produces. :)

Could I make my game in flash?

No you may not make your game in flash, because flash is too flexible-- we're trying to push the limits of GameMaker and SilverCreator.

You may work in teams, but only one entry per person (meaning that if you work in a team, both people may only submit that one game they are working on.)

Also, games must be started on the 25th, and finished on August 25th-- keep that in mind.

A game, since it is a game making contest. =) You COULD write an engine and have someone else make a game on top of it, but an engine by itself won't be accepted.

I actually might not be entering anything... I'm leaving for camp on the 28th, and staying there for three weeks... I guess I'll just have to rush and finish the game before I leave  :-/

I voted for War. I got a killer code to use on a game, but I guess I can change it to an arcade code.
This Cannot be, NOOOOOOOO!!!!

I don't know what it would fit into actually. The basics are that you are a hobo in the city. Dig through trash for food, cans, clothes, you name it. Keep these items in your handy dandy shopping cart. Sell empty cans to get money, pickpocket pedestrians, run from cops. Get into fights with city rats and battle other hobos for territory, then mark that territory by taking a long well deserved leak on the wall. I have several endings in mind as well...

Well I guess this could go under War/Action, there's fighting in it.

P.S. I've been on the SC boards since like 2005 or something. I've seen these boards many times just never posted.
