GameMaker Lite Suggestion
« on: November 14, 2009, 10:05:01 PM »
Al, what do you think about updating the free GM Lite to run on current Macs and compile for current (and maybe an option for older) Macs, with the same limited feature set as the existing GM Lite?

Why? What differences are there between Lite and the demo?

GM Lite is extremely old. It's made in FutureBASIC II and isn't even PPC Native.

I think Al should release GM 3.9 for free after he releases GM 4.0. Maybe limit it to 100 cards or something like that. It would still only compile for PPC, but it would be like GM Lite which only compiled for 68K.

I will probably do something like the above. There's no point in spending a lot of time trying to update the old GM Lite. It would be much easier to convert the current GM into a Lite version.
