Here are the rules:
Wherever you go, bring a piece of paper and pencil. Give the piece of paper the title "Ideas". Any Sc/Gm/Programming/Developer/Computer related idea that randomly pops into your head you quickly jot down.
When you get on the Gmg, post the list of ideas you thought of.
Point of this thread: To inspire and give ideas to the aspiring developer.
Some ideas:
-Physics engine, to simulate actual physics accurately and efficiently.
-Physics level builder, an app to allow you to build a physics map.
-Online physics engine game. Levels are in a level folder in the client, new levels are sent to the client from the server. There is a main lobby where you see everyone online, chat, and you can enter a physics room as an object that can move using the arrow keys. You can enter and create a physics race where the server will place physics rooms in a random order and you have to go through them all. First one to the end will win. In the lobby, there would be a button to make your own level where you can build your own physics room, send it to the server, and have it on all clients to play.
-Gmg/Sc Online Central. A chat that allows players to share files across the server to other clients. For example: Silver, Eq, Gnome, and I are online. WarHampster gets on and says he made a beta of an amazing game. He then selects that game and sends it across to our clients which it automatically opens and we can play.
-A clock app that just shows time in clock form.
-Dinosaur game where you hatch as an egg and grow larger as you gain experience.
-A "Copy Flash Game Contest" where you make a look-alike game after a flash game.
-Create an object/pluggin code to allow people to easily make windows/buttons in Sc.
-Line/circle/rect collision function: ObjectCollision(NameOfObj,X,Y,Width,Height,NameOfObj2,X2,Y2,Width2,Height2)
-Story generator. A list of actions, verbs, nouns, names, connections, that a game will use to randomly make it's own story.
-A picture/ship generator that creates shapes with Sc's new drawing/pixel commands.
Any of these are free to use. If you have ideas, post them and I'll put them on the list. If you'd like to see something made in Sc but don't want to make it yourself, post it.
