*shivers* Oh dear me no... nobody refers to me as John, it's Johnny but I spell it without the H. Not that I spell it often mind you, Silverwind is used for everything cyber. And as for Jonathan, well, only my bowling ball spells it thataways.

Johnny it is! Awesome name! I can see it now...

"The Chronicles of Johnny: End Of Eternity"

That would make quite a movie.

This has gone waaaaay off topic lol.

Back to buisiness - lets get an all around progress/status update on all aspects of this project. The site? What will we be making?

I'm thinking maybe some iPod Touch/iPhone apps. And a few Mac Dashboard Freeware/Shareware apps, moving on to full Mac/PC Shareware programs later.

Personally, I can probably register for the iPhone/iPod Touch SDK, and share it around with you guys. Then maybe we can build a simple app for free, like Simon, the game where you push the buttons in the order they light up, and the patterns get longer and harder to memorize.

We'd change the name of course, because I'm pretty sure simon is copyright. It would be pretty simple to program, and we can pack in some fresh music and maybe 2 modes, and a high-score table for endurance mode.

1. Endurance - Go for as long as possible.
2. Versus - Via WiFi, play with another owner of the app and see who can get the farthest with 3 lives.

Simple graphics, simple code, simple concept. What do you guys say?

That sounds fun. I don't have an intel laptop, but I may be able to borrow one. I'm in on this idea.

Sweet. Gan, I was thinking, maybe we can release Avasaria under our company name, I'll get you the logo, and that can be a release to get our name out there.

If you need any help with level design, quest progression, and other MMO stuff, you know who to look for. :D

I hate to sound like Eq, but aren't you starting a little to big? I mean, even a simple game like Simon would be really hard to program, considering that none of us (as far as I know) have ever made a iPhone game before.

Then again, Gandolf seems to have the amazing ability to learn a new language in like 2 weeks, so we might have a chance.

The iPod/iPhone touch SDK is very, very very simple.

Simon is simple to program, it just involves a lot of randoms and variable settings.

For example, we have a loop that adds one  to "Memory" each time it goes through, and chooses one of the 4 random squares. The square it chooses is added as a variable to memory, and basically replayed when the user successfully completes Simon, up to that point.

After every run, the memory is replayed and another random is added to it. Repeat the cycle until the player gets it wrong.

Not so hard to program, and a good base for an app.
