its not as versitle as yours, for some reason i cant adjust the gravity, currently when the ball hits the ground its velocity is multiplied by .5, if i multiply it by just .6 the ball never stops bounceing

I ran into the same problem. Though wall friction seems to fix it.

Edit: I also have a magnificent idea that should allow you to place any object into the field and have the ball bounce off of it like in reality. This modifaction will make game development of side scrollers, arcade games, and any other games super easy. People will just have to set the gravity, air friction, wall friction, and initial speed than place his/her objects in the field and Voila! The game is finished. Than they can go furhtur by adding a npc or changing the values on the arrow keys for jumping, ducking and what not.

But even if you have a good physics engine its not all that great when the game can't take two buttons pressed at the same time. Although if it could you could make awesome side scrollers.

Good point. Though, don't give up hope! Al might release a new version of Gm with multi button support.

Anyway, I made a modified version of the physics engine. This makes it way easier to make your own game with real physics.

Also, did you guys know Sc had Cos, Tan, and Sin? We can make extremely amazing engine with those alone.

I've always thought it funny that SC has math commands such as PI, SIN, COS, and TAN when it doesn't have any drawing commands. Meh, I guess they could be useful for physics, like you said.

sin, cos, and tan are used for calculating rotation and angles in most games. however, their usefulness goes far beyond that.

This new update now makes it much more accurate and stable. Fixed a few errors too. I'm thinking of making another object that's affected by gravity.

What do you guys think? Will you ever make a real game from this?

It's a great engine, but I like coding my games from the inside out. :) Plus I don't think I'll be making any platformers anytime soon.

I'm not sure if I will ever make a real game in Gm or Sc. I think I only have the stamina to make engines. So I will make the best engines I can to save many frustrating hours of time for you guys.
