I still like how in Enforcers, you could go anywhere you liked but if you went where all the really tough enemies were you would lose. You have to learn where you can go first. It's an idea I had been thinking about on my own, since it adds more to the exploration part.
Like if you go into the mountains and you're low level you soon find out it would be best to run away and find an easier location to explore. But NPC's give some hints as to where you should probably go next.

yea i like the freedom enforcers has, maybe i could do something like that again, i have a good story lined up for this and i would like to have cut scenes between levels, and the thing is cut scenes need to be showed in order and the levels corrospond to the cut scene so the levels would have to be in a linear order, however, with v7 for nav this time, maps like the forest are easy and fun to design, plus i can make large maps with lots of conjoining paths which would give the player some freedom

just a quick update, i modded controls to a timer rather than a keydown-event to make the controls more responsive. it also adds diagonal movement. it was surprisingly easy, let me know if you find any bugs, i havent had a chance to test it on my intel but i added a slight delay between movments so its not lightning fast

its been 2 and half years, its time to revive this project, next step is to add more areas to explore. i think it would be good to make it open-world instead of linear.

i really had a good story planned for this, heres one of the main antagonists, General Dirham- a general of the kings army who worked with your father who was a successful private mercenary for the king, Dirham looks down on you and all mercenaries and is later seduced and manipulated by the Sorcerous that he is at war with

new stuff:
-all 4 characters added
-some special attacks added
-basement  enemies added
-lockpick feature for some chests
-some tiles touched up
-music
-save/load feature
-sell items added

notes:
*harder to escape encounters when partys hp is low
*defending during a turn will give some ST

known bugs:
-slight delay after diolouge box
-infamous SC sound glitch

download alpha v1.1

its amazing what SC can do

This is fantastic!

I'm gonna play Mystic Legends 1 now.

And hey, EQ, I'm doing a project where I submit a new iOS app every month. When you finish this I'd like to port it to iOS with your permission.
Like I ported QoM.

Edit: Do you have Mystic Legends 1? I can't find it

SC can in fact do a Windows export! Impressive work as always Eq.

EDIT: I just played the game some more. The battle graphics are amazing, it shows weapon equip, there's attack animations, and exp points, and chests to loot, and even boobs. This game has everything. xD

even boobs. This game has everything. xD
lols, thats the most inovative feature!

theres no level system yet so exp is useless right now, i was thinking of allowing the player to use exp to unlock new attacks, spells or increase stats of thier choice like in enforcers. but i may do a standard level progression this time.

heres a windows port

I tried Mystic Legends 1 in SheepShaver, it crashed right after the awesome start game cut scene.

I want to port one of your games to iOS, EQ. Right now I'm looking at porting Elements Arena but if I can get a good look at Mystic Legends 1, I might want to port that first. If you have the sources could you send them to me?

Do Mystic Legend! It was AWESOME. Not gonna lie, I enjoyed it more than any of the Final Fantasy games. If there's any way you can access the code...

I don't typically enjoy turn-based RPGs, but Mystic Legend had a sweet art style, and the story was pretty good. It's been a while since I played it, but I remember enjoying it thoroughly. It had perhaps the most professional feel of any game to come out of this community. The graphics were sweet! I wish I could draw like that.

Err... Hey, I just get an error when I open it. But I do hear the music, which is great. What program did you make the music in?

I tried running Mystic Legends 2.0 in SilverCreator. Most of the bugs are easy fixes but there's a few methods missing such as:
ATTACKTAK

Also do you have the Rain file? I had to remove it cause it's using a too old format.

Got it to work. So far no bugs.
