there should be a button called "show unread posts" and it'd show you everything you haven't read since you last logged on. I think it'd make sure everyone gets to see everything.

I second that idea...
It works well here since it's a small forum anyways, you wouldn't always be flooded with new posts.

unless I'm old and my memory has faded.

You'd be surprised who shows up though when their name is mentioned. A quick email to SecretAgentBob and I was able to get him to check back for a day or two.

I won't be able to maintain the GMG anymore (except paying for hosting + the domain name)... but I gave a few users FTP/admin access (I forget who, probably a bad thing) that might have the time.

Hey Tim, if you're willing I can handle Gmg work. Upgrading, managing, ect.

I've already made the chat box at the top, I could continue tweaking the place while you're gone. I'd need FTP/SQL access.

Hopefully you don't disable the hosting, I'm making good use of it.  If you do at some point decide to cancel it, make sure to tell me so I can make backups of my stuff!   ;)

I hope it doesn't come to that. If the hosting quits you should find someone else to maintain it.

I agree that Gan should have FTP/admin access. He's really into this forum, and has done a lot for it.

Tim has transferred some of his mythical power my way.
I have the ability to edit forum code. So the plan is when some of my projects get completed, to update the forum software. Ya know, to get rid of these bots and make the forum look snazzier.

Now if only I could figure out how to wield the ban hammer... especially the IP ban hammer, now that could be useful until the forum software gets updated.
