Website Feedback
« on: August 25, 2009, 06:28:51 PM »
After an insanely long time (thank you, work) I'm finally attempting to shift my website's layout from HTML to Flash. It's taking more time and effort than I had originally thought, but overall it's worth what I'm learning throughout.

There's literally not much to look at, but I'd still appreciate some feedback.

So without further ado:

:3

Nice one Redd, so are you using flash to pull the xml data from your wordpress page?

Thanks :D

Funny thing is those animations confused my sister on more than one occasion.

I actually wanted to go for something more ASCII-themed at first. It turned out to be too hard considering my experience >_<'

But I'm glad you like it :D

Yeah, I actually spent hours looking for a way to parse all the HTML just to find out there's a command specifically for that~ XD

Though I'm really surprised to experience how easy it is to produce anything in Flash. I made the following in barely two hours (research and all) as opposed to the days I had to put into REALbasic:

Wow, now that's impressive! Is collision sprite based or with a grid map?

EDIT:

Are you actually making Gigan in Flash or that just a concept?

It's sprite based. I just check if the character's registration point will still hit the ground with the next move and make the changes accordingly. :P

This was just to get me started, but it's something worth considering.

I'd just have to make the right adjustments.

I think you should port Gigan to flash! Then it will be cross compatible as well :D

I'll have a go at updating and porting the old project first as a test case.
