I do that too. Design 'em in Photoshop, then I code them in Espresso. Much better than Dreamweaver. Coda is also amazing as well.
Dreamweaver is the web design industry standard, and even I have to admit that it's completely awesome, easy to use and incredibly time saving (opposed to writing sites from scratch). But still, Photoshop is the graphic design industry standard, and yet I still use AppleWorks allot. ;D

Got a link to Espresso oh fine faerie flan?

Do you have Dreamweaver Gnome? Entirely out of interest.

I've been thought to design the entire web site in Photoshop (or whatever image application you have, as long as it uses layers) before even thinking about the code.

I'm working on an Elim church's website at the moment, but I'll write up the code for something along the lines of what Mist suggests and PM it to you so that you can examine/modify/eat it if you like. Positioning things on the screen in done using the apDiv command, and it's really simple.

Yup i have dreamweaver and know a pretty good image editor. so time to get crackin'.

wait, but a website is NOTHING without a ridiculously long and over the top flash intro right? Time to get cracking on that too!

PLEASE, no.
On a list of things that are bad in websites, ridiculously long and over the top flash intros are high.
anyways, yea, dreamweaver is cool.

You must understand Espresso is not a WYSIWYG editor. You have to be able to write code by hand. It has excellent auto-completion though. You should try Coda and Espresso. Both awesome web design apps.

Expresso looks nice,
but I just got dreamweaver CS4, so I am just gonna use the code editor for that instead.
anyways, I have a PC, so I couldn't use it anyways...

PS WYSIWYG is overrated, just learn basic html tags and learn how to constantly reload (AKA, learn hotkeys)
