You can complete it bit by bit if you don't mind it taking a long time. :IIII

Or you can do what I do, get half way through it and start on another project.

Just make sure you stick every project on github.

and thats just a text based game, imagine a graphic based game, thats definatly something people underestimate, it was so hard to make rpgneo, gandel, and enforcers rpg consumed my life for 6 months

Realms of Darkness Version1 Finished

It turned out more simple than I wanted and the adventure is short. But I may add more on a later version. Download the file on this post to play the game.

I started to work on a more complex game with more of the features i originally said the game would have. It may take a few years.

a few years?! i dont know if thats a good idea, do you follow any modern indie devs on youtube? look up 'elysian shadows' game and their earlier vlogs, kind of dissapointing

and you should be aware of the 'curse', everyone on here has fallen victim, projects become overly ambitious and 'poof', gone. anyone remember Telstar? he was the most active person on the forums, then one day he claimed he was gonna make an OS, 'poof', never heard from again, his topic is probly still here berried somewhere in the forums

It's true, a lot of indie devs make a habit out of making small, approachable projects. The sort of thing you make for a Game-Jam, for instance. It's OK to have a bigger project that you keep working on over a long time. Just remember that making tiny prototypes and playing with coding can be fun, too. And good practice!

My big project is this gel based physics platformer, but I have made tons of other cool things in the meantime.
