Unity 5, New Unreal Engine, and Source 2
« on: March 13, 2015, 10:01:10 PM »
If y'all are looking into free to use game making software, 2015's looking like a good year. I've been working in Unity 5 a bit which just launched. Also, Source 2 has been announced and is going to be completely free. And the next Unreal Engine. Any thoughts on these?

They seem pretty exciting but I haven't used any of em. You should post a video of something you made.

From what I've heard, Unreal Engine works best if you're working with a team of 4+ people to make a 3D game. I'm interested to see what will happen with Source 2.

Unity's probably the best to look into as a solo tool, yeah. I didn't get very far with it yet, but I want to try some things in it.
