Yes. I've just watched Woodhaven test it all the way through now and I can see that there's things I have to balance better. On top of that I'm adding an extra level. ;D It's only a small one though.

So far the average completion time is around an hour and 20 minutes. :) Hurray!

So has it been an hour and 20 minutes yet?

No, no, I meant it takes that long on average for players to win the game. I'm busy with a few things at the moment, but I'll have it finished soon.

I'm taking a break from my contest game to finish QoM, hopefully by today or tomorrow. (like that hasn't been said before! ;D ) I really don't have much to do except a few bits and pieces on the last level, it's mainly just a matter of balancing, which also doesn't need much work.

I came up with a great new feature for grid based RPGs whilst working on my contest game. It's a way to check the distance between entities, so you could set an enemy to roam around randomly until he comes within 3 spaces of the player for example, at which point he'd start tracking the player. I haven't written the code yet, but I'll have a whack at it after I've wrapped up a few of these projects.

Interesting, but can't you just take the manH, monsterH, manV, and monsterV and just subtact them and if its more than -3 and less then +3 on the values you have it so he moves toward you.

Not yet, but I'm inches away! :D I've been working on it allot in the past 3 days, and it's just tid bits I need to do now. All balancing was finished last week, including item prices, battle stats and that kind of stuff. That's really what consumed the most time, so now I should have it finished real soon. I'm finishing up all documentation right now, which should be done in a few minutes. I'm gonna make a serious effort to have the full build beta it out by tonight, as I really wanna get it out there and playable.

Thanks for keeping interested btw! :)
