Current Projects
« on: March 22, 2011, 07:17:24 PM »
What are people currently working on?

New games seem like a rarity at the moment and I'm wondering about whats going on.

I was working on a scrolling space shooter in GM, but that isn't going to smoothly. I sort of gave up on Adventure 4 for now. My new idea is a game where you are a wizard guy, and you stand in the middle PCMCIA screen. Enemies come from all directions, and your only weapon is a floating ball of energy. You control the energy ball with the mouse, and hit the enemies. Of corse, I haven't even started this (I'm on vacation)

I feel like I posted in this kind of thread a few weeks ago.  Anyway, I'm working on a new website:  http://charlo.gamemakersgarage.com/

Tim just got me set up with a MySQL database so the news/games databases (which I have working on my local machine) should be up and running soon.  Then I will only have my own procrastination to blame for not getting the site in good working order.  The site is basically just a test of my coding/design skills, but I might as well have it up for you all to see.

I also have a puzzle game in SC that's near completion.  Just a few more levels and a final cutscene, plus maybe a level editor.  Screens will be on the website.

It seems that way to me too. and you've posted this exact thing before also. The website rules, but there's a database error, so nothing works.

I should probably point out that one of Apple's selling points for a Mac is that it runs Windows...

Why buy a mac if you want to use windows? And a P.C. can run mac OS too, you just need to hackintosh.

No idea, probably because some people have more money than sense and just want the Apple logo on what is essentially a laptop packed into a flat-screen monitor :P
