Concerning Hobbits
« on: February 20, 2012, 07:48:51 PM »
My arrangement of "Concerning Hobbits" from LOTR. Mostly played on my guitar. I did a little editing, but not much. This was as good as I could get my 2 tracks to sound together. I played all the music by ear. Made in garage band. If I make any more recordings, I'll post them here.

I liked it very much. I sorta remember it from the movies, but haven't seen them in a while. I think it needs a bit of accompaniment, but the ending was solid. Was it just me of did the song seem a bit low? I'd like to see what it sounds like a bit higher (pitch).

I just listened to it again, and it sounded better hearing it a second time.

EDIT: did it have accompaniment in the movies?

Glad you liked it. It's in a lower key so it's easy to play. I can write a tab if you want, so you can play it yourself.

I would like to see the tabs! I've been teaching myself how to play the guitar. I was tired of just playing one instrument, I never did wind up transferring in band at school.

Sounds pretty good, Zoo!  Some of the chords seem just a little bit off, and the track syncing could be better, but it sounds promising.  This is better than anything I ever did when I played guitar years ago.  I think you have potential.    :D

I don't play guitar in band. That would be just silly. I play clarinet...

I'll try writing the tabs later, I've never done it before, but it seems fairly simple. I can post the chords here now though.

First line
Pickup notes A      E       A       E      A

Second line
A      E     D     (Then there's something like A but down on 5.) (Then that chord switches to D but down there also) D A  E

Sorry it looks so bad, I don't know the names of two of the chords

I didn't say I was gonna play guitar in Marching Band. That's silly, where did that come from?

Good books, actually. I really should get to playing guitar again.

No. I mean, when someone asks me where something came from, I say narnia. Like the thing came from the place called narnia. Actually, I was considering saying "Candyland" which might have confused you less.
