Help with updates
« on: July 16, 2013, 03:30:50 PM »
Gan said I should try to install updates on a partition at first to make sure they work without damaging anything, and there's a new update for the 10.9 preview. Since the last update did something strange I want to try this and I'm wondering, how exactly do I set up the partition? I know it's in Disk Utility.

Disk Utility, select your hard disk. Go to partitions, hit the + button. Size it to a good size. Partition as Mac Journaled.

Then install whatever on the new partition. To boot into it, hold Option on boot.
