Important developments.
« on: June 21, 2009, 10:31:24 PM »
Thanks for supporting SilverCreator after the many years of hiatus.

It was disrespectful of me to let it languish for so long. For that, I apologize.

Together, we can build a new community around SilverCreator and explore the exciting new realm of games that will be possible with the coming updates.

If you want to have a successful community, you'll have to stick here. Mike, most people of your forums moved here in the Sc recession, if you are burning this bridge; you will force people to take sides. The Gmg will continue to thrive, though the Sc will fall harder than before.

Don't do it. That is a warning.

The release of SilverCreator v1.6 will bring free game-making tools to an entirely new generation of people who will first and foremost be introduced to the SilverCreator Community Forums (Plaza).

...and perhaps, to the GMG as well, where they can pick up more advanced tools as they outgrow SilverCreator.

There is a place for the GMG as a general clearinghouse for all Mac homebrew game creators, and a place for the SilverCreator Plaza as the source for up to the minute news and in-depth discussion of SilverCreator, as well as the tight-knit communities that exist on both forums. Let us see both systems grow and prosper.

I'm pleased to announce that a link to the GameMakers' Garage will return with SilverCreator v1.6b3.

I'm already the moderator of the SilverCreator help forum here. That's enough for me.
