that equiping bug was tricky, fixed it though

be sure to listen to sarah, she'll tell you where to go to recruit more members. each character has thier own strength and weaknesses

going to bed should save your game. it doesnt replenish health sinse theres no random battles, it would be to easy to just go back and forth to replenish your health after every battle. you can use items from the item store in the area where your house is or you can go to the hospital south of your house

when a character has HP but is down its cause they have KO status, some enemies with blunt objects can ko your characters, and enemies with knifes can cause bleeding status which will decrease the characters hp each turn or each step (it should say "knocked out!" when your character gets hit, does the text go to fast?)

-ko status goes away after battle or when you use whisky
-bleeding status is cured by hospital treatments or with stitches that you can buy at the hospital
-you can check character status in the inventory screen

enemies respawn as a consequence for dieing, if your about to die you can escape battle even against bosses
Awesome, thanks! Had no idea Whiskey cured knock outs. The KO text is just the right speed. I'm gonna play some more to find some bugs and stuff.

ive been playing the compiled version and i dont notice any sound distortion, but i remember when i downloaded stranded forest on another computer the sound would sometimes (but not always) sound like static, maybe compressing corrupts something in the file, or maybe uploading, whats another good uploading site?

i uploaded to cloud, does it still have the sound distorton? it automatically compresses it as a zip

KO also wears off after battle, so you dont HAVE to use whiskey. and you have to use adrenaline shots to cure critical condition status, which happens when a characters hp reaches 0

theres a weapon specialist in the south west area that can modify gun stats

if you do I might suggest a quick fix of a bug I found.

The ring that gives you +30 HP.
if your at full, and you take it off then put it back on you stay at 100 instead of going back up to 130.

EDIT: and yes there is still sound distortion. It works for a little while, and then breaks down into static.

This is just a hunch, but it might have something to do w/ chains. Because for me the problem only starts after you use chains for a little while. probably just a coincidence though.

i cant believe its been 9 months sinse i released this, thats so long, but it doesnt feel that long. anyway, ive been busy but lately i had some time to go back to this. this is a major update, i did alot of rebalancing, i cleaned up some of the graphics, and finished the bosses so its beatable now, also i fixed a few bugs, theres also a few new weapons that were in the older version but not accessable because of a bug. enjoy!
http://www.mediafire.com/?q7u81l9k1l3xvh6

let me know if it still has that static sound bug, it happens after i upload it, maybe i can compress in a different format like .bin? instead of .zip? i have no idea if that would make a difference, nor do i know how to do that.

Wow, this is awesome!  The graphics are great, as always.  The game is really hard, but really fun too.  The important thing is to figure out the best path through the game.  I headed south of the house, and I got the Jericho, the guitar, a jacket, and a box cutter, and I unlocked the Gym and the Thrift store.  But once the jacket and the Jericho were too damaged, I was basically stuck.  Next time I'm going to follow Sarah's advice and head east to the Shamrock.

EDIT: nevermind, I bought a combat knife, and I fought my way to the Shamrock and hired a couple of guys.  We're massacring all the criminals in all the sectors.  It's awesome.   ;D

There's something I noticed that annoyed me a little bit.  The Jericho doesn't look like an IMI Jericho, but rather like a small Sig Sauer.  And it shoots ".38", which usually refers to .38 Special, which is a rimmed cartridge fired from revolvers, not semi-automatics.  Not that it really matters to the gameplay, but it bothers me.   ::)

i was worried people would just give up on the game if they got stuck at the beggining because they didnt know to assign thier team first. so i made an open path right to the shamrock, you dont have to fight anyone to get there. theres also a pawn shop to the east of the gym thats easily accessible where you can sell stuff for extra money and buy powerful unique weapons. were you able to beat it?

wow you know alot about firearms, i didnt know .38cal was for revolvers only, would .22cal be more plausable?(thats what  i was gonna  go with originally) i wanted three types of ammo that range in price to factor into the strategy of what weapons you buy, i was really confused about what to choose and i didnt do the research, i definately dont want people to be bothered or distracted when they play my games

quick update

Oh wow.  I don't know why I didn't notice the clear path to the Shamrock.  I went the hard way!  ;D  I've sold a lot of stuff at the pawn shop.  It's expensive, though, so I've only bought one gun there.  I've killed 4 or 5 of the bosses, so I'm about halfway through.

.22 is definitely plausible.  It's one of the most popular rounds among poor gang-bangers.  IIRC, legislators tried to ban the sale of .22 ammo in Chicago, or Detroit, or one of those places, because so many criminals were getting shot to death with it.  The appeal comes from the low cost and the concealable size & weight.  The guns themselves can be had for $50-100 (saturday night specials), and the ammo can be bought in bricks of 500 for around $20.

That link leads to the Ninja vs. Samurai zip file, not Enforcers RPG.

Aaarggghhh!!!!  The game just crashed due to an "unitialized sprite" exception at the house!!  It happened during an important event in the storyline, which involves Sarah, as she was running away.
