Aww...  You know, windows users are just people like us. Except they are extremely deprived of the awesome-ness of mac. Putting Gm to pc will fill in that hole in their hearts enough that they will have the endless urge to switch to mac.

There's an emulator called Basilisk II for Windows. You can run up to GM v3.1.1 in it, along with most games compiled for 68K in versions earlier than 3.5.1.

"Their version" is completely different from the mac game maker... it's not even really a programming tool, you just select actions that occur to objects when conditions are met... although I think it has it's own tiny scripting language. The problem is that it is ridiculously easy to use, so it's really popular, and you get a ton of crappy games. It is advanced enough to make wolfenstein 3d style raycasters, and relatively advanced RTS games. Basically, from the point of view of the average person it's better than our GM in every way.

We should post a banner on the homepage that differentiates the two programs to avoid confusion/ lawsuits.

Isn't it strange that they're calling it "Game Maker 4"?

These people haven't released anything like this on the Mac yet.

They are calling it Game Maker 4 for the same reason Bill Gates called it windows 95 and 98. NO REASON AT ALL. Also I had Basilisk 2 on my old mac so I could play old OS 8 games on it but it isn't compatible with Intel Macs and it doesn't work on my new computer.
I must be dreaming (wake up me wake up) How could this have happened. Tireas' cry when he found his computer fallen over in his chair with it's screen shattered.

i guess it MAY (huge risk) help us, we can convert the RPG and Arcade lovers to our GM, and maybe mac will get a few RTS games out of it.

EDIT: Redd has a point.

Wait... it's not released yet! Hurry Al, HURRY! Release gm 4, even if it has only a couple of new features.
