I resign...

Yes it is true, I resign as leader as the GMG group project. :'(

As EQ said group projects never go anywhere. I thought I could make him eat those words. When I saw the due date was a month I thought "We Can do it, we just need to try" but today (my first day of 8th grade) It hit me. I already got a book project and Geometry homework, and I thought "there's no way I can do all this in a month with all this" My grades are more important to me then GM.

Sorry if I disappointed some of you. If this was early or mid summer I would this still be working hard at this, but I don't need all this stress. Sorry.


To Warhampster: Thanks for offering to help, I wish we had more time, because it would have been fun working with you!

Actually I think that is quite wise of you to not put GM above school. In the end you might end up making a few bucks if you ever make a game maker game that sells. Or you could get a job and make a ton of money and retire early and make GM games when you are bored.

I'm not quitting GM, but I just want to work on games on my time so everything works out better.

I wasn't referring to quitting I was just saying its good that your not putting GM above your main priorities.

::) I'm fairly sure Ghost is referring to classes dealing with various programming languages and website construction elements. Plus, their are plenty of online courses covering a wide variety of game design aspects.

Yes, I was referring to the classes I take as a Computer Science major. However, if you are interested in a B.S. in Game Programming, UC Santa Cruz has an excellent program.

Eqwanox: I released lots of GameMaker games 7-8 years ago, maybe I could dig some up and post them up here.

Im happy because I have a spare period 1 in my first semester. Which means extra ps3 and more ZZZ's.
