This thing is super cool. Being both a technology lover and a guitar player, I want one. I don't like the price tag though. Besides how much they cost though, this is really cool.

Way cool. I wish they'd make one that sounded like a normal guitar.

I tried learning guitar on my own. My fingers hurt so bad after 15 minutes.
This guitar looks like it'd be awesome for the fingers.

Well, it's part synthisiser and comes with 6 pre loaded effects. I think one of them sounds at least a bit like a guitar. One of the cool things about it is you can hook it up to a computer and change the sound through there.

When I started playing guitar, I played until I got blisters, but trust me, after a while, you can play for hours without your fingers hurting. (unless you have to go out in the cold at 7:30 AM to play for an early church service. Something about the combined cold and time make for an unpleasent finger experience.)

@Gan: I looked at parts of the site. To quote one explanation, about the nature of real guitars with strings...
"Why would you want to emulate that? It is perfection. It is pure nature. It is in the analog domain. We did not intend the Misa digital guitar to replicate a traditional guitar."
@Zoo: In relation to that... it's not part synthesizer it IS a synthesizer. But it looks really cool I could see it or something like it becoming very popular (something like it meaning a purely digital instrument).

Look at digital vs electric it's cool -

They should replicate perfection. Enhance it. I don't like pain.

Agreed.

By part synthisiser part guitar, I mean the fingerings are probably the same, and it has the same shape. I imagine being able to play guitar would allow you to play a kitara.

Anyway, I'm actually not that great at guitar. I like music in general. Next to math band is my favorite class.

I do rythem and some short melodies mostly. I enjoy writing music, but it never turns out very good. I might upload some MP3s of my guitar playing when I get around to it.

I read just enough to know that you can play it by hitting notes like a piano and not have to strum. I bet there's a setting where you can use both hands but the right hand can be used to control the sound like tone and volume, and you can tune different rows to different kinds of sounds.

Maybe. I like good old guitar the best I think. Not as confusing. Comes with automatic volume control (how hard you strum) and a few preloaded sound effects (muting ect.)
