I was planning on looking at TNT Basic when I have time, it seems to have some useful features but I've barely looked at it yet. I also want to make my shooter game. XD
Great choice. I went to TNT before moving up to Vb.net. TNT is a large step closer to professional languages. It's also fast.

From what I've heard TNT has died out, and now SC has pretty much gotten too, or passed TNT's capabilities. I would shoot higher.

SC is extremely close to TNT; all we need is a good OpenGL Graphics engine and we could pass it.

Wasn't TNT open source at one point?

Still is. The forums are still taken care of though the engine progress has stopped. A few members are also still active.

TD, this is your first post in 4 months. Too long bro.

I know, that is a bit intense. Right now I'm applying to graduate school and such so it's been a bit tight on time.

In all honesty, Python/pyGame is much more flexible than TNT Basic, and better supported. Once you get py2exe and py2app down, you can also create standalone executables. I'm starting to like Java now that I've been doing some Android coding as well.

Java is a great language but has terrible libraries IMO.

Yeah, the libraries confused me a bit when I first started Java. Netbeans also crashed quite a bit. Gave me headaches. :/
