- Completed the inventory libraries and implemented them into the menu.
- Fixed the formation screen.

To do:
- Important, Equipment, Magic and Status sections
- Shorten option list
- Reduce lines of code

Only a couple more things to add, should be done by tonight :D

On paper:

  • One board (invisible) on each side of the screen, characters take their places at the start.
  • Units can be moved to a different position, but will be reset at the end of each battle.
  • Units cross sides when attacking physically.
  • Magic affects a range of tiles depending on the spell.
  • Magic takes a number of turns to cast and can be interrupted.
  • Units will interact with each other depending on their positions.

Examples:
- The target is pushed out of the way if it's low on HP, other unit takes damage.
- Two units sit next to each other, enemy attacks and misses, both counter.

I'm still expanding the interactions bit, it's not hard to code with the framework I'm using. :P

I wouldn't worry about making it flashy now, you can always revamp it later.

When I rewrite the entire code XD

This is more about putting in whatever I need and adding to it later. Fixed the transition a bit and it looks nice, but Jing can't keep up with it. D:

Gotcha, they're most probably staying that size since I can't draw anything that looks human if it's beyond 20x20.

Been a little busy with assignments these past couple of days, took some time to rest and continue this again. And I came up with this:

There were some huge memory leaks in the app, had to discard the canvas/sprite classes I was using and recoded them from scratch.

I didn't have much time to make any relevant progress as these last weeks were assignment hell at school. I should be back on my feet before christmas recess :D

the background layers are a great touch, i thought of that but never did it, i also thought about haveing forground layers for future games, but that would only work in a 2d scrolling system, are you gonna have maps with obstacles?
