June Challenge?

OK, I think we need another challenge for the Summer. Not much has been posted lately so I think we could use this kind of thing to get people motivated...
Any thoughts??

how a bout a game like one of Gregory Weir's it winner would be determined by how emotionally affected were. The games deal most heavily with art, and music. We could probably get hold of him too! He's a indy flash game developer.

I just had a thought, none of us has ever tried to make a music game!!! That way it's still mostly a programming challenge.
OK here's my challenge:
You can use any music (you don't have to make it yourself) and you just have to make a game that is set to the music somehow, meaning it makes sure that you're listening. Think of DDR, Guitar Hero or the Bit-Trip series. Graphics aren't important for these challenges unless you want to make good graphics, your choice. (I know I will XD) If you can think of a unique way to set it to music go ahead and try it.
I'm honestly not sure how well I could make this work, because there's a few tricky details. But that's why it's a challenge right?

Tips: Use a program like Aquagnome (google it) to find the tempo of each song. iTunes may list it sometimes, I forget. I think I'd use a tick function to see how long the song has been running and keep the game synched. (In TNT it counts how long a song has been playing for you!)

I once made a DDR clone in Windows Gamemaker.  It was pretty terrible.  Stepmania essentially owns the DDR-clone market, so there's not much point in doing DDR.   ;D

I did it! I made a program that tells you if you're hitting on the beats! It allows for an error of 0.2 beats. Of course the dang thing won't upload at the moment so I can't show the peoples.

EDIT #2:
Okay, so I've actually thought this through before starting (gasp) and the idea I like best right now is to have a guy running who has to jump over obstacles (yes it's actually very original). The first dilemma I have to puzzle out is how to make sure things appear at just the right moment so that they reach the player on time with the music. I also need to make sure they can't get de-synched, which isn't too hard since I programmed that beat counter in so the place of any moving thing will be based directly on the time variable. well i'm fine with a music game, but I have a feeling mine won't be all too high on the highscore list of this challenge. I still like the idea of a gregory Weir type game. I might do a mash-up. Just like GLEE!

Well you guys go ahead and do an art game if you want, I'm gonna try to use this thing to make a music game.

I "read music" game and thought: "Man, makin' a musical RPG would be cool." Then I though "Wait a second, aren't I already doing that?" Then I thought "That won't be finished in june..."

okay I got my idea. You'll go through life, and to communicate you correctly click notes. keep beat, and press keys for certain sounds. It's still in the making, but all piano will be played by me :) I haven't had a chance to use my piano lessons for anything like this. Exciting. My game will still be similar to Gregory Weir's games.
Also where would we put a dev log for this sort of thing?
