SketchFighter 4000 Alpha Revival Edition
« on: October 30, 2020, 07:42:36 AM »
Hi folks, just thought I'd spread the word about this awesome game by indie developer Lars Gäfvert (Lost Minds): https://www.lostminds.com/sketchfighter/

I bought SketchFighter when it released in 2006 and it sparked my desire to make computer games, leading to me discovering Al's GameMaker a year later. I owe Lars a lot! Earlier this year he read some fan comments on a YouTube playthrough where we were lamenting the fact that SketchFighter no longer runs on modern machines, so he worked hard for 6 months and released the Revival Edition. How awesome is that? You should totally check out the game and support the developer. I've just played it through twice. Hours of fun!

Aye, it's got charm oozing out of the graphics and soundtrack :) The original game had a custom level editor, but the Revival Edition hasn't sold enough to make working on an updated editor a viable use of the developer's time. If sales pick up, however... mwahhahahaha...
