Pencil/Clash
« on: August 16, 2012, 10:16:17 AM »
I'm here to ask if anyone can help compile a program. It's called Clash. It's based on the source code of the animation tool Pencil, which has not been updated in a long time. Clash fixed a lot of bugs and even added some functionality.

I would really appreciate the help because I'm dying to try it out.

I tried compiling the v4.5 version, compiled but said it couldn't work for my mac version. My guess is it compiled for PPC.
Then I tried compiling the v9.5 version and it wouldn't compile due to an icon problem.

The instructions say the qmake command produces an Xcode file, but it did not, it only produces a make file.
I'm not sure what is wrong with this source.

Thanks anyways Gan, perhaps I'll see what I can do with Pencil for now. HOWEVER, I found a new free/open program to try out called Synfig. But I don't know exactly what it's capable of and it's got a big thick manual so I suppose I'll let you know if I figure it out.
