An application you download and run. In the top menu it'll have an icon with a number. That number is the amount of unread posts for your account. You can click on the icon and it'll have a menu with items like "Go to GMG", "Run on Startup", "Quit".
Furthermore, whenever there's a new post the application will show a Growl notification transparent window. Here's an example:

In the growl window will show the poster, thread name, and part of the post.
Now.... who wants to make it? I gotta study till Dec 16. After then I'll be busy updating this place.
If one of you want to give this a try, I can help out by providing the connections to get unread posts.
If no takers I'll just put this in a far off list to do sometime when the GMG is super popular and I got free time.

Will this be Mac and pc?
I'd do it but I'm trying to (start) making an iPhone game.
If I'm done and theres no takers I'll do it. (and whoever does it I'll make a deamon of the Mac version like I attend should be done in the chat box right after the sexist comment) lol
