Just gotta add some error handling, it'll be fine.

Added a few features and fixes:
• Added a ding on chatbox message, motivated by Connors and using his ding
• Made chat scroll with page
• Made matrix background scroll with page
• Made it automatically reload and reconnect if lost connection
• Added BBCode to posts and the chat

it says "reconnecting" for me, my flash might be to old, also im still on os10.5.8

Server crashed with an Invalid Websocket Upgrade Request.
I think your old web browser crashed the server, EQ. I'll have to find a way to fix this.
Edit: I added a bunch of try catch statements. Hopefully it'll keep it from crashing again. Though EQ, I don't think your browser is new enough to use Websockets.

I was thinking the same thing. I might have to make a static read-only non-websocket version.

I got Mac OS X Leopard Server in VMWare so I can test Safari 5 with the GMG beta. It doesn't work with Safari.
So I've been looking at alternatives. Here's what does work:
TenFourFox (http://sourceforge.net/projects/tenfourfox/files/24.5.0/) - A version of FireFox for PPC. It actually works fairly well for me. Don't have more than 1 tab open at a time though cause it uses a lot of memory. All parts of the site work.
And that's it. Seriously all browsers for Leopard suck except TenFourFox.

I was wrong. SO WRONG.
There is 1 more browser that's even better than TenFourFox. It's a ton smoother, uses less rams and CPU. It is called: WebKit
It's a beta version of Safari, top of the line, streamlined, sexy and the best part....
They made a version that works on G4, G5 and Intel Macs
Leopard Webkit(link) (https://code.google.com/p/leopard-webkit/wiki/Downloads?tm=2) - A lot faster than all the previous Safaris. Has extensions like Adblock. Can use all the latest Websocket, WebGL amazingness.
I tested this on my simulated 10.5.8 mac and it is flawless in so many ways.
EQ, download and use this. Then tell me if the beta site works.

I just changed up some of the networking on the server side. It shouldn't crash anymore. Can you try again?
