It needs to be just text, colored or drawn in a way that is unique and would look awesome as the default GMG logo. Ya know, something we can put before or after or watermark our creations with so people will see that and remember it.
Fire up Photoshop, get out paper and a marker, start drawing. GMG. Game Maker's Garage. Make it iconic.

It's gotta be REALLY creative. Something simple that stands out. Like the apple logo. It's just a white apple, but EVERYONE recognizes it. How's out GMG written with game maker's garage written underneath it with all our names making up the larger GMG written. That way, when it explodes, it can break up into individual letters. If only we had more members...
How about an apple making the first G as the current apple logo, edited a bit, then the older rainbow one making up the second G. You know, remember our history and stuff. But those are copyrighted...

I'll draw something awesome tomorrow tying in our past, present and our love for games as well as programming. Or not. You can't expect me to actually WORK or something. No idea how.

I'll try and think of something we can use as a "production logo" but I'm not too sure what it would be yet.
For the news video I'm looking at different fonts.
All that Gan's intro needs, in my opinion, is more interesting text and a color for the logo. Or maybe have the GMG have a brushed steel texture and make News a flat color or vice versa. Just anything to make it look better.

I think you're right. I could make the text have a wicked awesome steel color look/feel/glow/shine to it. Or I could color any other way.
For font, I kinda like Krungthep for the News part. I'm not sure about the GMG part.

Alternatively, we can use fonts for all except the capitals GMG, which we do custom so that they fit together when they smash together.
