Title: XCode 4 Released!
Post by: Gan on March 09, 2011, 08:25:08 PM
And it's covered in awesome sauce.

The editor is nice, fast, slick. And magical.
It's much more like Visual basic and the interface editor is actually inside Xcode! Connecting code to buttons is as easy as pie. It's all visual. Plus the LLVM 2.0 compiler is way faster compiling and in running apps.

Check it:

Does it only compile for Intel?

Edit: It no longer compiles for PowerPC or Leopard at all. Let's just f*ck anybody who doesn't have the means or the will to buy a new Mac every 3 years, or the skills, means, or will to upgrade their OS.

Fortunately more and more people are switching to Intel machines.

But you can still download Xcode 3.2. I'm fairly sure putting in powerpc support for the LLMV 2.0 GCC compiler would be whole deal of hard work. And it's legacy software, no reason supporting it with most on Intel.
