Title: My new PC is one BA gaming machine, and it was cheap.
Post by: Zoo on June 07, 2013, 09:27:02 PM
I payed $600 for this thing, and the specs are outstanding.

16 GB RAM
6-core AMD FX Processor, 3.3 GHz
Nvidia GeForce GT 640 2 GB GDDR5
Gigabyte motherboard
1tb 7200 RPM HDD
CoolerMaster Elite case
And it runs really cool, too, with like 5 fans and some heatsinks.

And I got a wifi adapter so I can take it places and stuff.

And as soon as I have money again I'm buying Skyrim.

Wow man I feel gipped, I mean mine was $500 and it's got 2GHZ, 3 MB RAM, barely plays TF2, Minecraft runs at 60 FPS only in optimal conditions...

I think I'll ask you what to buy if I have some money to spare later. I bet that thing's fast enough to still be a decent gaming computer years from now right?

Planetside 2 works surprisingly well on it. Around 60 FPS with ultra settings, and only minor heat after an hour. Seeing as PS2 is one of the hardest games to run on steam (and definitely my most taxing game), I find it kind of hard to see why people spend $1000+ on gaming PCs with similar specs to mine.
