Title: recording computer sounds with Quicktime
Post by: GMG Kurt on October 14, 2012, 02:09:37 PM
The title really says it all. I'm trying a set up a screen share record the output from a game, teamspeak (a skype-like program), and input from my microphone, and I want to be able to hear everything with my headphones (I actually found a way to do all of the above, but couldn't hear anything)

I don't necessarily need to use quicktime, but don't want to pay for software either.

Soundflower. I use it to route my speakers directly to my mic so Moe can watch Pokemon with me.

By doing some fancy audio stuff in the Audio Midi Setup application in the Utilities folder you can have it record everything that comes out of your speakers and that goes into your mic and still be able to listen.
