Title: 60 to 72 pin converters hidden in NES games.
Post by: Zoo on August 03, 2012, 11:00:09 AM
Some NES games have famicom to NES converters, with an NES and Famicom board in them. Because they had to make a lot of games in a limited amount of time, to save time they made NES games out of old Famicom games. Meaning that there are converters in some of my game. So now I can get famicom games! YAY!

That's neat.  So basically, you would take a converter from one of your American game cartridges, and put it into a Japanese one?

No, I'd take the current famicom game out of the NES cartridge, store it somewhere, and take the guts of a different famicom game and put it in the NES cartridge with a converter. It still needs to be in the shape of an NES cartridge, or I can't take it out of the system, because I only have a front loading NES.

I wonder how difficult it is to get your hands on one of these...

The AVGN has a Nintoaster. I like this guy's Nintoaster better, though.
