You guys have any suggestions for increasing the GMG population?

1. Create new games and re-create existing games in HTML5 GM. Space Marine would be awesome in HTML5 GM.
2. Put games on Kongregate and other places. Put a link to the GMG within the games, or in the text descriptions when you upload the games. In the games is better.
3. Make sure that the server is really secure and that you're paying for enough bandwidth, because all kinds of people will come pouring in!

I like how you think! We can make a very fancy splash screen that runs when HTML5 Games load. One that advertises the GMG. Advertising the ability to make these games for free....
So the next question is, who wants to start remaking Space Marine?

They can if they want to. I will not ban or exile them. I might take away their free muffin access though. <-- Good idea X. I might actually have to implement this.
Edit: I think I'll add the splash screen as default. And they can manually take it out of the compiled code. Or I'll add an option in settings to get rid of replace the splash screen.

Hmmm. I'm not rich yet and the HTML5 isn't popular enough to make ad revenue...
Perhaps the winner could win some type of non-monetary prize?
I can make cool lookin sigs. I can make 3D objects, animated, with someone's name in it. I can do favors, I think I'm a pretty good programmer. I can add features.
Ideas?

how about you can collect virtual trophies. Your newest one would show up by your name. Just a small GIF icon, but very distinct in design from contest to contest. A way to show "Hey I won renown"

We don't need to focus too much on making things just to draw in users though I think we should continue current projects and keep making games.
And I'm gonna port my collision engine one of these days.

Yeah, if he (or somebody else) could make something on the level of Quest of Magic, the activity level here would definitely increase.

After introducing Terraria to this website, and Gan's amazing server 8) comes another Terraria related idea. An enormous mod library. There's not very mods for terraria, especially compared to minecraft. We all are diffinetly smart enough to add amazing features to this game, and make our own mods, and become the voxlebox of terraria. Thoughts?

If anyone can figure out HOW to mod Terraria that would be pretty amazing. But then we all use Mac so who knows if mods will still work. Not to be pessimistic, it's a good idea. ;)
I got it: Redstone in 2D. 8) It could be placed in the background and that way it even runs behind walls. It would be tricky but so worth it. We might want a matierial name besides redstone but the mod should be called Electrica? No... Electronica. Mod names should sound like the game's name. ::) And an option to see all hidden wires would be good.
A simpler mod would be something like Minecraft's Too Many Items which lets you cheat in any item from a visual list. Like a creative mode.
Adventure maps (like pre-built challenges) could be interesting too.

Yes, this game lacks creative mode. A Too Many Items mod would be fantastic!
Also, having villages spawn naturally with villagers would be nice.

Terraria mods don't really fit in with the theme of this website. But it's always good to think outside the box (or in this case, nowhere near the vicinity of the box). ;)

I'll find out how to mod the game. And make an automator. So you just drop mods in a folder and they're in, like how minecraft server plugins are handled. So were agreed? We try out this new campaing after the retro games space marines is done?
