Anyone here use blender? It's fun to mess with.

It's a 3d game engine/ animation system. I think it would be good for movies inside of games. ;D

I've played with it. Made an ugly penguin. Maya is easier to use, free for students.

I've looked at it. In fact I remember someone saying "Blender is so much more powerful than C++ to make games in". To which I replied "Blender was made in C++.

For those of you who don't know this, blender is no longer just a 3D tool, it has a game engine built in (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WM_ZN-QdWSM).

I wish I knew how to use blender, I'm useless at game art which is a real buzz kill when I get half way through creating a game.

Yeh, for what blender costs (lol) it is amazing.
