Title: Team Fortress 2/Garry's Mod
Post by: Swamp7hing on June 09, 2008, 03:47:50 PM
I've Been Running Bootcamp with Vista Home Premium for 6 months now, and I must say, it's no where NEAR as good as mac, but it does the job.

I play a lot of Team Fortress 2 and Garry's Mod (These being the most played among other games such as Cod4, Bioshock, and Oblivion), and am the Head Administrator AND Founder of a gaming community called the "Random Destruction Clan". We're pretty popular, and run 4 game servers. We also have a site (although the forums are messed and no one can join) at www.therdclan.clanteam.com. It needs to be edited, so I'll get on that :D.

If anyone is a fan of any of these games, or has Steam in general, be sure to join up to our public group and we'll play together.

Just thought I should share the GM unrelated news!

Looks interesting. I think Team Fortress has been ported to both Xbox and the PS3, so it must be popular indeed. If I ever get it (not in this lifetime if it stays Windows based for non consoles ;D) I'll check out the RDC. ;)

As far as FPSs go, I think Q3A is the best ever made. Back when that and Unreal first came out I was really into the genre, but due to it never being ported properly to OSX (I had the patch working a few years ago, but I lost it in a HD move and my iBook only supports OSX) I now only play it occasionally in Sora's.

Welcome back Swamp most people who go to windows come back broken and bruised due to errors that constantly pop up for seemingly no reason.

Lol, vista does have a lot of errors (Most patchable), and it asks you if everything you do is EXACTLY what you want. For example:

1. I want do delete a file
2. It asks me if I want to confirm the operation
3. I click yes
4. It asks me if I am sure
5. I click yes
6. The file Moves, It says I may only continue this file operation as an administrator (It's my computer, I AM the administrator)
7. I Choose "Run as Administrator"
8. Repeat 1-5
9. The file Moves, and it asks me to confirm again
10. I click yes

See how hard it is to delete ONE file? On my Mac side, it's just drag-n-drop. Quite the comparison.
