Title: Variables
Post by: Tireas Dragon on June 16, 2008, 09:57:39 AM
Well using a scientific calculator I have discovered the maximum number of different number variables you can have is approximately 175945240730481326961561908185588573916379060606336. I just thought it was a high number.
EDIT: If I am wrong there is more.

ironic since the amount of variables you can have, is greater than the maximum value they can hold

Yeah, by a few million times.

well you see your variables can contain 31 characters but I did not count the symbols when I counted the variable number. So the mathematical problem was 36 to the 31st power which is 175945240730481326961561908185588573916379060606336.

actually wouldnt it be 31! (or 31 factorial) since you cannot count the same combo twie for each different letter.
31! = 8.2228385x10^33 so its quiet the large number still.

Actually I forgot to take into account the fact that not all variables have 31 characters so Its quite a bit more.
