I was bored and saw some of the sketches that silverwind made here: http://www.silvercreator.net/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1250786504/15

Because I was bored I thought it would be coolish if I vectorized one of them, so I have done my best to do so to the first picture.

There are still many errors with the inking and flatting that I have not smoothed out yet (see if you can spot a few), but the basic outlining is done.

Face needs work, everything else is fine (aside from lack of shading  ;)).

Hair still needs massive work and looks stupid, but some of the other shading is done.

Some points remaining include under the collar and on the hair. any other points I missed please tell me...

Ok, here we go.
This is the semi-final version of the model.
I want to change the way I did the right hand (his right hand, not the hand on the right) and make it less ugly.

So, without delay, here is the image vectorized with basic cel-shading.

Not bad, a few things -

Take a look at the shading on his feet and face

Fire emits light, it will look way better if you change the shadows accordingly

I completely forgot about that...
Anyways, I am planning on changing the fire a bit, because I don't like the way it is looking atm, I may change the shading at the same time.

And as for the shading on the shoes and face, I don't know how else to shade, if you could give me suggestions I would gladly accept them.

Just choose a place for your light source and make sure the shading makes sense in terms of that. Currently it's inconsistent, I don't know if the light is coming from in front of him or from the top left.

I didn't have very much time to work on it, so I only did a bit. however I changed his hands and the fire to look better. no shading has changed.
