I won't be able to make our template look exactly like the previous template. The setup has been changed and I fear it'd require me to do a lot of manual work to make things display like they use to.

So to save time... you guys are going to have to choose a new template.
YABB Template Vault

You might notice there's not too many templates in the YABB Template Vault. I have noticed that YABB is becoming a little dated. Missing some very nice features. Such as an Unread Posts button.

I have another alternative. If you guys want, I can upgrade the forums from YABB to SMF. SMF stands for Simple Machines Forum. It is like YABB except way more updated, all PHP(which I really like), has a lot of community support, has frequent updates, and a lot more forum themes.

As you can notice, there are a lot more themes and varieties for the SMF forum software.

What are your opinions?

As long as you're sure you can move all of our posts over to the new board it doesn't bother me...
But also I like some of these templates, although they don't quite match.

By the way, that's a nice template. Very similar to the old.

I'm fine with this actually. I'd rather keep this then go through all the work of finding a new one. Although you could make one, I don't think that's the solution either.
The two thing that bugs me about this one are text size, and the flashing new post thingies. When you're typing, the text is too small, but it's HUGE when you actually read it. And those flashing things would be fine if they flashed faster, but you have to stare at a topic for like half a second to actually see if there's a new post.

A lot of it seems just getting used to stuff. I would mind if we used the other forum software. We've already lost the theme, I think we should keep as much of what makes the GMG the GMG, including YABB in some form. I'm not as set in that, that I'd get bent out of shape over a software transfer, but I'd just rather not.

btw zoo bottom right just bellow the text box is the font size, boost it up to 8, then you can see

I've worked with SMF before, it totally pwns, thus I strongly agree with the upgrade from YABB to SMF.
