We seriously need better hosting, ones that won't be deleted.

Would you guys use it if I enabled attachments in the forum? Like you would be able to upload a file go along with a post. If so what should the size limit be? 5mb? 30mb?

I beat it!  Saw the last cutscene and everything.  I died intentionally while fighting the Baron the first time, so that I could fight the other guys again (except the bosses) and earn more experience to finish maxing out my party's stats.  It was fun to beat many of the bad guys with just bare hands.  The rest I killed with a sword, a chainsaw, a couple of rifles, and a golden Desert Eagle.  Man, that was fun.  Between yesterday and today, I must've been playing the game for at least 6 hours, which is a long time for an SC game.  Excellent work Eqwanox!

One criticism: I forgot that I was working for Nick, so I didn't realize that I was supposed to go back to the Shamrock after killing the bosses.  That should be more obvious.

The save game in the menu doesn't work for me!
I can't get to the end. :C

... I don't know if it's your fault or Silver Creator's but it stinks.

Wait if this was made in Silver Creator how did you deal with the 100 sprites problem? are the backgrounds just still images, not tiles?

Probably used Sc's draw image commands. Cause the background doesn't move.

Thing is SC's draw image commands don't seen to work that way.... It wants you to open a file, remember Gan?

I believe it could work. When the map changes, use the draw image commands to draw the whole map once. Then use sprites on top of it. That way you only need to redraw the whole map when the player switches to another map.

Though seriously, I'm thinking Eq just made the maps in photoshop. Would be waaaaay easier.

That's what I thought. And you could just put it in the background. Hence why sprites look a tiny bit offset from one part of the screen to another. But that looks OK, the grid is less obvious then. (They'll be in the middle of the street in one area and slightly off in another).
But inside buildings it's a bit different, so how is that drawn? Eq? You there? XD

Reminds me of something I wanted to try, matching up a collision map with a pre made level image, so I can make each picture different.

your missing a zero there, sc has a 1000 sprite limit.

the city is done in V6 while shops and other inside areas are done in V7. the v7 grid is 44x44p (same as the npc tiles) while the city's grid is 30x30pixels but use the same 44x44p npc sprites which is why they look off in some places. a 30x30 square is to small for npc sprites, but i didnt know that when i made the map for SCv1.5 a few years back which only allowed for a much smaller visible area. i just left it at 30x30 instead of remakeing the city and it actually works out much better that way i think.

im not even sure what circumstance you would use drawimage for, it even says in the syntax not to use it in place of sprites.

Oh awesome! I was sure SOME version only allowed so many sprites...
I'll have to see what I can do with tile maps again. Thank you. XD
ITS TIME TO MAKE SOME GAMES.
