forgot to post this here. this is a game hendo made a while back, i went back to update the code and ended up reprogramming the whole game, its practically a complete game right now except for the wind and earth elements and an ending, but all the mechanics are there

Pretty fun, but I think the element you choose should have more of a bearing on what you can do.  It seems like the only thing it affected was the choice of spells (which I didn't use anyway, since it seemed more efficient to just hoard gold and buy the best items).   :P

I remember this game. Awesome revamp, I'm particularly impressed with the balanced stats again considering there's allot of things to spend money on. Nice going. :)

magic is useful and actually has some stratagy involved, water element can cast water shield that reduces the damage you take temporarily which is very useful, you can also use it in succession and with gray potions to boost your defense untill you take no damage at all, this stratagy is good for the later enemies. also spells are typically stronger and never miss, and increaseing your magic by one point goes further than raiseing your strength one point sinse magic power is multiplied depending on the spell you cast, the balance is it uses pressious MP that can only be restored by potions or waiting in the rest area

Does anyone have a copy of the source for this? Eq's mediafire link is long dead, and I need to port this over to C# for class :)

I use to have it. Then recently I accidentally erased 200gb of old files...
heh, yeah... I should probably pay more attention the next time I try to partition my drive.
