The site's looking better, good job Xiphos.
Now, hold on Eq. A bit ago before moving on from Sc I had no real idea what compiling, source, and all those technical terms were. So when someone mentioned them I'd go with the flow and act as if I did. Even today I'm still pretty bad with the terms.
I remember my first game... Battle to the Princess. Yes, made in the demo version of Gm, no coding, no click areas, 4 buttons, and a whole heck of a lot of cards. I made a movement nav out of just cards where you pressed a button, it'd flip a card and the character would move 1 to the right. Very, very cruddy.
Though we gotta build upwards, tough love can strengthen only when they get back up after the beating. When they don't, it destroys them. So if someone doesn't know something or does something incorrectly, we should correct them. In a manner that's not condescending but informing. This forum's here to help the newcomers, not fry them.
Hey Guthan, just a tip; keep moving. People may come along and beat you down, but if you get past their expectations, you get respect. Such as if someone comes along and says:
this kid cant do s***
Prove them wrong! (Last hint, be truthful. Don't try to inflate your image)

P.S. Looking back... Did you guys even know that I use to cap every letter before every word?
So It'd Look Sort Of Like This, And I Bet It'd Get Pretty Annoying Pretty Fast. Good Thing I Took The Criticism Of This Random Guy Who Confronted Me Face To Face About It So I Could...
type normally. Then this random guy and I became friends. Which he and I spent 2 years building an online game with a pre-built online game maker. No coding needed. Then I felt the urge to go higher so I moved back to Sc... so thinking back. I'm here, exactly where I want to be because I took the criticism of someone who is probably now my best online friend and am programming for the iPhone just because I took the advice of not capping every word instead of shoving it back in his face! (This is probably the time I should step off the soap box)
