So, what's happening on this? Is the site done? I have some Idead I'd like to propose, some sketches I'd like to upload, and I'd really like to start getting this thing together.

I drew the company logo, and if we have a site, I have a great design for it, and the content (text and possibly pictures) to put into it. HTML base will be great until (yes, Im optimistic) we get a few releases and get known, maybe get reviewed by professionals and put on a few sites.

Also, I think that we should assign designated "Lead" roles, like lead programmer, lear artist, lead designer, lead music, etc etc

Finally, GM is a great program, but does anyone know how to code in another language that allows for a graphical 2d engine, similar to that of "World Of Goo"?

Anyway, here's hoping for a reply!

I'm always up for doing something like this but I am completely incapable of making the website. Why don't we make a signature game first and then design the site around that?

I've never played world of goo, what makes it different from a normal 2d engine?

*watches world of goo trailer*

Thats awesome!!!

Once again, I can pick up any form of basic very quickly... I guess that TNT might be what you're looking for? I'd rather not use TNT basic... I've played around with it and I don't really like it.

I'm in a website programming class next semester. I might be able to make the webpage after Christmas.

I code in vb.net. Can do graphics and network programming. I can also make a 2D engine, but I will need 2 things. (1) The graphics and (2) The physics formulas. For gravity, rotation, bouncyness, buoyancy, kinetic energy, potential energy, ect...

I tried making a physics engine once, couldn't really make a real simulation of gravity. My formula was horrible.

Lol, a simple 2D engine would be great. That's some skill you have there!

The only problem with VB.net would be that it would be windows only.

World of goo looks cool

WOG was probally written in C++ or another portable language.

I would look at diffrent BASIC variants so that you do not need a big learning curve

Mike (PS I will look into the BASIC variants)

PPS @ gandolf, you could use Farseer (http://www.codeplex.com/FarseerPhysics) for the physics engine...

Blitzmax? I know its not free but we dont ALL need to have it..
I like TNT basic its very easy to use and understand, but the problem is it isnt compiled into binary and the only save files possible are TEXT so anybody can hack them.

Did you guys know that future basic is now free?? Ive been trying to learn it without much success. Then agen not much effort has gone into learning it.

I won't tell you mine, but if you can guess it in three attempts I won't steal your baby. Or was it turn your hair gold? Bah, I can't remember, I never read the book...
