start a real/professional game company. I've been thinking - we have so much diverse talent on these forums, and we have enough numbers to qualify. Sure, It would be small, but maybe we can branch out and develop a real shareware game for Mac/PC. Opinions? Ideas? Something to add? I'd like to know.

I'm definitely up for something like this... my specialties are spriting, art, design, and music... but I'm a decent programmer as well.

You guys seem to post a lot of variations of this topic (lets make a company! lets do a group project! lets enter a contest!), but the fact is that most (if not all) of us are in school, and thus have little free time... and when it comes down to finishing an english paper and making a bunch of sprites for some RPG the paper comes first.

Still, I will help out in any way I can if you decide to do something like this.

I'm willing to go along with this idea, though recently my grades have started to drop. 3 b's! I have to hurry and get them back up to high A's.
I can program in vb.net and am trying to learn python. I'm also pretty wicked at Sc networking.

So, if this ball gets rolling, I will be happy to provide anything I can.

I say that we make a full fledged MMORPG with silver creator... Gandolf can handle networking, I can do sprites, and you guys could do music or design/ story.

I think that we should see who all would like to band together to make a mini company. No projects yet, just getting people together, finding the point of the company, having a name, and either getting a site or making the gmg our home base.

After that we can see about projects, but we should do one thing at a time so it doesn't die.

Man this is pure sig gold. I'll get brainstorming some names. And I think the list thing will work out - I'll be off tomorrow due to Robotocs Club (dont dis, its awesome) Tetraeon work (a ton of business stuff to do), and the Little Big Planet beta, but hopefully wednesday will have a spot open - its a busy week.
