iRPG Concept Art
« on: May 19, 2010, 07:35:48 AM »
I thought we should post concept art in a dedicated thread to inspire us. Here's two sketches I did earlier (I fixed the Instructor's gaze and deteriorated his posture a bit) as well as a rough of the blacksmith.

The Blacksmith

I'd love to see a few concepts of the town. Anyone fancy a whack at it?

Those look amazing! Though my only form of artwork that I do well in is making and painting models.

If we ever need some concept art of a dwarf with sunglasses holding a laser I got that covered.

This Cannot be, NOOOOOOOO!!!!

Nice! ;D Model painting is patient work. What game do you play with them? WH4000?

Edit:

Fixed spelling mistakes. Blasted iPhone...

Yup, though I'm pretty sure this is a DnD crowd.

D&D Is brilliant. It's the grandfather of all RPGs, but you need a dedicated dungeon master to enjoy it.

Hey, how about including concept art as unlockable easter eggs?

D&D is awesome, I like GURPS as well. My group is playing mostly palladium games right now though.

On the topic of DnD:
I like it a lot, I want to try being DM this Summer because I think I could make better stories than my DnD friends XD. (I also want to make up crazy-arse dungeons.)
On the topic of video games:
I think a bestiary that updates when you defeat a new enemy type would be great. (it goes with the concept art idea too). There would be a more detailed sketch of the monster and a short description.

Where can I find the character and enemy sprites that you have so far? I think I could help with details on monsters/charachters/story. (such as monster descriptions & sketches) Just sayin', that looks like what I'll be interested in right now. :)
EDIT: speaking of concept art, Imma look at those maps of "Newtown" and see what I come up with. :P

I think I included all of the entity sprites in the Roguesoft RPG package: http://www.mediafire.com/?yrgj1m0hmy3

If it's not in there I'll upload a sheet this evening.
