I don't know man, I'm a little tired of trying to organize group projects with people I don't know IRL. It just rarely seems to work. I mean, maybe on something smaller scale...

A group project will only work if people can add stuff whenever they want. If we assign stuff to people, it won't get done.

But hey I'll be willing to help. If you post the source I'll probably add some maps or dialog whenever I can.

I'd definitely be able to help with the dialog writing, but I doubt I can emulate Silver's style. Not much of a fantasy guy myself when it comes to writing.

Awesome stuff! So cool to see life breathed into these old graphics and maps again. That crappy tile set is timelessly iconic ;D

I always wanted to see if I could make an RPG game with only 10x10 graphics (this isn't necessarily related, just something I thought of).

I'll say it again, I don't know that I want to do this yet. I'm only on board if we can get at least one programmer who will promise to stay on board start to finish.

...

I was gonna offer myself but then I remembered I've never made an RPG and I would need a lot of study time or a lot of help from you guys.

I guess I'll think about it, maybe I can do something with this. XD

I'd definitely be able to help with the dialog writing, but I doubt I can emulate Silver's style. Not much of a fantasy guy myself when it comes to writing.

Just do the opposite of what you did with Odysseus/Spaceus and think of a way to translate cool sci-fi stuff into a fantasy setting. It'll be GREAT. haha.

If you guys used my new phone game engine to do this I would 1) be eternally grateful and 2) help you code it.

Oh, hell yes. I was going to look into using that engine anyhow since I already know Java.

Cool :) Semester is about to start so I can't take the lead on anything, but I can definitely help you out and fix bugs in the engine as they arise. I'm slowly adding documentation and I'm going to open-source my game project soon, so that should make things clearer.

I think writing game code and getting it to run on Android is fairly simple - the hard part is dealing with run-time issues on iOS. Of course the whole point of this project is to prevent that, but I can't anticipate how other people are going to code. So it would actually be really helpful to see what issues pop up when you're working on this.
