iPhone RPG: World Mapping
« on: March 31, 2010, 02:05:04 PM »
This thread is for all you mappers. We want your opinion and guidance on how the iPhone RPG world should be set up.
Of course Gnome as the official mapper will be heading it so all things mapping have to go through him.

Gnome, you have the current world file so if you could upload it that'd be wonderful.

Just comment on what you like/dislike, post maps you've made, or ideas on new areas in the world.

P.S. The current World Editor is in another thread so you can download it there until I post a link.

Are we going with the settler story? If so I reckon the town should be smack in the middle of the overworld with a dungeon in each primary compass direction. Something simple like a woods to the east, a marsh to the south, a graveyard to the west and a cave to the north. I think we've enough enemy sprites as is to accommodate for the marsh and woodland, but we might need a few more undead variants for the graveyard and a subterranean race for the cave. Maybe Troglodytes.

Anyways, just tossing ideas. Feel free not to catch them. ;D

I'll catch a few of those.
I must be dreaming (wake up me wake up) How could this have happened. Tireas' cry when he found his computer fallen over in his chair with it's screen shattered.

That would mean we only have to have the 1 town! :D
It's perfect for a relatively simple game. (we dont want it to be too long right?)
