Hey guys I was reading a bit about irc channels, really know nothing about them, but thought they sounded like a fun thing to set up and screw with. How would we set up an irc channel? does anyone here have experience with irc channels?

I've used one before but I hardly understand their purpose.

Aren't they just a chatbox?

essentially yeah, but it is secure, so no government spying, and I feel like it'd be an experience. I just wanna learn more about networking and this is something that would teach that.
