So I'm on my phone a lot more than I'm on the computer and while surfing the gmg on your phone is fine, I'd love to get notified when someone posts.
At first I was thinking an app of some sort that let you post read and interact with the chatbox and such, but then it occurred to me it would be much easier (and more innovative) if we could set up a (closed) Facebook group and then set up a server to detect if a post was made and then a bot would post to the group and we'd get face book notications on our cells.

Of course there's the problem that not everyone would want to share their Facebook information wih each other, but I just wanted to throw this idea out there for feedback.

I would sign up for it if you guys could figure out how to do this! I use AIM a lot and it would let me know when something happens here like once a month.

So a GMG Facebook group that adds new stuff whenever someone posts on the GMG.
Hmmmm.
Interesting. I bet there's a way.

First I'd have to make some way for new posts to send a notification somewhere. Then I need to make an application to pick up that notification, to log in on facebook for the group and to set a new post about the forum post.

You know we COULD just have a GMG mobile app. If we had more that 4 or 5 active members, anyway. Which we don't. So never mind, then.

I think there just needs to be a server that checkes the gmg forums (each thread) for topics that suddenly have new posts (easier said than done). We'd probobly have to make a Facebook account for the bit to use to post stuff

Zoo is right. There isn't quite enough activity here to warrant this kind of thing, is there?

I think it'd make more activity cause we could instantly respond to something via smartphone. Instead of everyone getting on once or twice a day, howevermany days a week.

It is true that me and Gan have been using other chat programs, and I know you guys are on Skype sometimes. It would be nice to have all that in one place but it ain't going to happen. >__>

Yeah I love all the guys here but never socialize outside of this forum. I've even stopped seeing gan too much because he hates moe (with good reason XD) and I always seem to be in a call with moe. C'est la vie :(

We should gather all members from around the globe for a big conference call sometime and just share all our ideas and see what comes out of it. It'd be great to get the old gang together again too.

Also, what's this about Gan, Moe and hating?

That'd be epic.

Moe's got some attitude issues, so I tend to avoid her. She also likes disturbing things.

That would be the most epic thing ever!!!

Oh Moe is literally the antithesis if Gan, and we haven't hung out with her outside of League of Ledgends, and she's extremely critical.
Even though she's abrasive I love her to death, just used to her personality I guess.
