Minecraft Builders

We are constructing a wall around the village near the spawn to keep out the monsters.
Those involved may have access to our resources and will be given supplies.

We also really need to explore and torch up the giant cave underneath the village so feel free to go down there and mine.

Server Update:

I brought a bunch of cows back to the village and made an enclosure for them, and also began attempting to light up the outer section. Fought quite a few monsters while doing so, it's good for XP. I think we really ought to make the wall higher but Gan insists on leveling the ground outside so I'll leave him to it. A creeper made a small hole in the outer wall up on the hill.

And I'm really considering increasing by wall by 50 or 100%. What do you guys think?

I think there should be a gate to the east (where the desert is) even if you guys make it smaller and with doors to keep things out. I wish we could make bigger doors that would be sweet.

 I finally found diamonds. Eight of them in one vein. Gonna grind for enchantment levels.

FYI I have an anvil and an Enchanter in my house.

Summary of my knowledge of anvils:

The anvil lets you repair tools by using the tool plus 1 of the matierial (such as diamond pick + 1 diamond, gold sword + 1 gold)
You can also combine enchantments on items, although it costs quite a few levels, and build some very powerful items.

Just finished the wall.

We now need to do finishing touches on the town.
When everyone deems it ready for public, I'll install some anti-cheat mods and advertise it on the Minecraft forums.

Question: Should the server be whitelisted? Meaning they have to post on the GMG to get their account unlocked? Or is having anti-cheat mods enough?

Probably whitelisted. You don't need cheats to be a griefer.

However, I want to suggest something: We could have scheduled events every once and a while to keep things interesting by using Moderator powers and Creative Mode and whatnot, like you did that one time in Terraria where you had all the monsters spawning everywhere. Thoughts??

Hahaha that was fun.

Yeah I'll whitelist it, put some anti-cheats and even put mods for admins to do fun stuff like spawn an army of monsters.

Of course, all builders who helped build this will have admin power.

Anyone know why there's a giant glass stargate near the castle?

Interestingly enough there's 3 of them around the bubble.
If a player didn't know the castle was there, it's now super easy to find out.
