Just wanna reiterate how awesome you are Gan; 'tis a mind bogglingly brilliant achievement to be sure! My one concern is that you're hardly credited, thus I implore you to add yourself to the credits screen. You've done infinitely more work than I in making Quest of Magic.

I love this! now I can work on my dwarf, "Lord Woodstock", while I wait for this parade to start. He's named after my parakeet    :D.
Why on earth wouldn't Gan be in the credits? And is connors in the credits? Gan, you gotta update this so it has the Roguesoft sword, too. Maybe you should make your OWN RPG gan... I can help, but a completely new iOS RPG would be pretty cool... It could use the same format as QoM, but with a different story and map and enemies... I'd help. Maybe you should do QoM two, like the castle folks talked about.

I kept the game original. Credit for Connors and I are in the app description on the app store.

I think I'd enjoy working on a QoM II.

QoM two has been talked about. But id rather see expansions off of this one. Such as other maos, lanburg, the dwarven city, so many ideas.

Im still stuck at the part with the chest. Very difficult puzzle

Will this become open source in the spirit of QoM?

Yep.

I agree, an expansion of the original game would be easiest. To keep the old graphics and above world maps. And to just expand it.

Though I'd need to recode the game's engine to be more modular and easier to code.

Make it so you gain access to extra dungeons, the dwarf place, and the elf place (each with their own shops and side quests)
maybe a path opens through the trees at the north into an open overworld like MoonFable.
Just add more areas, dungeons, shops and items that become available after you beat the game. If the bad guys are defeated, why should stone basin still be closed? Doesn't make sense. Maybe different character types should be given perks, like dwarves have more health, humans have more attack and elves are balanced, with a gnome expansion, allowing you to visit the gnome traveller and trade with him whenever you want.

And Silverwind's technically retired, but maybe he'd make an extra sprite or two for the extra bits.

We've talked about making an original iOS RPG for a long time! You do realize those threads are a veritable gold mine? I can recall most of the story from memory and more from reading. There's enough sprites for a whole new game. Gan has made numerous grid nav programs. Silverwind also made a tutorial for a percentile system for battles... But it depends who's up to it. It won't work if people contribute a few cool things and then flake out.
